**News**

On February 28, 2009 we had a blizzard (according to Brian!) and got 8 inches of accumulated snow! It was very wet snow (instead of powder) because we had a whole bunch of rain before the snow fell. It began snowing around 3 pm and continued on into the night.  We were told we would get at least one good snow per year in Memphis and we've not been disappointed yet! The kids had a great time playing, building a snow wall, and making snow angels. The best part was sliding down the slide and then going an extra foot or so because of the ice at the bottom of the slide. There are pictures on the photo page in the album labeled "Snow".

 

I forgot how much having a new puppy is like having a new baby! They have to be watched all the time and she sure does love to eat stuff of the floor. The good news is that Jinx has finally accepted her and they play together for a while each day. Lolly has figured out how to grab Jinx by the hind quarter and he can't get at her. She also likes to stand on her back legs and get even with his ears and give them a nip. I wasn't sure how well Jinx would tolerate this but he seems to have gotten used to it.

 

Spring Break is coming up in about three weeks and we will be taking a trip to Dallas. Our friends Kathy and Rick, and their two boys moved there right before Christmas and we're going to go visit. The kids are super excited to see one another but the truth is that I am probably more excited! The packing, not so much; but the visiting is a whole lot of fun!
